The Walking Dead Season 5 Trailer
The Walking Dead Season 5 Trailer was shown at Comic Con, and here it is!
It starts where we left our people at the end of Season 4 — most of them are inside a train car at Terminus.
From there, we see them inside Terminus, tied up, gagged, and kneeling over something that looks like a trough. Bob bargains with Terminus man, trying to convince him that they have a guy with the cure, if they can just get to Washington. We get a quick glimpse of Glenn, kneeling at the trough, still bound and gagged, looking as if he’s about to have his head cut off.
Lots of quick cuts to scenes of walkers, Terminus people, our survivors, Rick with a baby (Judith?), Carol and Daryl in the woods… The walkers look scarier than ever, as if being undead for so long makes their skin start sagging and melting off of their faces.
There are some good quotes from this trailer:
Abraham: “We get to Washington, we will make the dead die. And the living will have this world again.”
Carl: “We’ve all done something.”
Rick: “These people are my family. And if you hurt them in any way, I will kill you.” (Yaaaay! Badass Rick is back!)
Rick to Carl: “No matter what anyone says, no matter what you think, you are not safe.”
Abraham: “You know what is at stake!”
There seems to be lots of talk about keeping the group together from now on. The survivors want to find each other and move out of Terminus as a family.
We get to see some good zombie kills in this clip, too. Death by fire hose, death by explosion, death by Michonne, death by head bashing…
After the main group of survivors are shown in the woods and on the road, we see the title graphic.
And then, just when you think it’s over, a new voice! We see a woman in a police uniform talking to Beth. So we know Beth’s still alive! We hadn’t seen her since she and Daryl were thinking about playing house after the moonshine party. She got kidnapped by mystery assailants, remember?
Now, Beth is in something that looks like blue surgical scrubs. We see her in some quick scenes, looking down a dark shaft, helping(?) a bloody person on a gurney… The police woman tells her she needs to think of the “greater good,” that she is part of a “system,” and then she slaps Beth’s face.
Whoa! Season 5 looks like it will have a lot more action and less farming than previous seasons. We’ll see when it kicks off on October 12, 2014.
